UNDATED (WJON News) -- We know the month of April is going to start off cold and wet with a big spring storm impacting much of the state, but what's the long-term forecast looking like?

The Climate Prediction Center has released its outlook for the month of April, as well as the forecast for the spring months of April, May and June.

They say they are expecting a pretty typical weather pattern for the entire state.  Temperatures in Minnesota will be pretty average in April.

The Weather Channel forecast is calling for highs to be at or below normal for the first week of the month, but then start to rebound into the upper 50s and lower 60s by the second week.

The Climate Prediction Center is also calling for average precipitation in April.  St. Cloud averages about 2 1/2 inches of precipitation in April.  We also average about three inches of snow in April.
