Paramount to Unveil Two Interactive Murals

ST. CLOUD (WJON News) -- There is a new mural project happening in St. Cloud.

The Paramount Center for the Arts has been awarded a grant from the Thomas A. Ritsche fund through the Central Minnesota Community Foundation.

In partnership with Anna Marie's Alliance and Pathways 4 Youth, the Paramount commissioned muralist Hibaaq Ibrahim of Moonjuice Murals to create two murals.

If you think of when you see a coloring book, with the white paper and the big black outline, so you can color in the spaces. So she created these huge murals that we are going to unveil on Tuesday at the Paramount.

Paramount Executive Director Gretchen Boulka says the murals titled "Your Life in Color" will be colored in over time.

After the unveiling at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, they'll be on display in the Paramount lobby through the kick-off event on Friday, September 6th, before being moved to Anna Marie's and Pathways 4 Youth.

Boulka says the Paramount Center for the Arts has been intentionally stepping up what they've been doing out in the community.
