UNDATED (WJON News) -- Voters in two local school districts will be going to the polls Tuesday. The Sartell-St. Stephen and the Sauk Rapids-Rice school districts both have two referendum questions on the ballot.

In Sartell-St. Stephen, the first question asks for nearly $22 million in general obligation bonds for upgrades and improvements to Riverview Intermediate School, including a new HVAC system. The second question asks for nearly $8.5 million for improvements to the athletic fields at the high school. The first question has to pass in order for the second question to pass.

If both questions pass, property taxes on a home valued at $300,000 will increase by about $109 a year for 20 years.

The polls will be open from 7:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. at three locations Sartell City Hall, Celebration Lutheran Church, at St. Stephen City Hall.

In Sauk Rapids-Rice, the first question asks for just over $37 million to build a new Early Childhood Center. The second question asks for $17.7 million for a new outdoor activity complex on the high school campus. These are two separate independent ballot questions.

If both questions are approved, the estimated tax impact would be about $3 per year on a home valued at $260,000.

The polls will be open from 7:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. at five locations the Sauk Rapids Government Center, Riverside Terrace, Discovery Church, Watab Town Hall, and Rice City Hall.
