KIDNAPPING/ASSAULT -- A bizarre story now. An 18-year-old man – wearing pajamas -- allegedly kidnapped and sexually assaulted Monday night. Happened on Northeast River Road in Rice. The victim says he was walking when he accepted a ride from a 50-something man in a van. Next thing he knows, the victim woke up alone on the side of the road, with injuries.

 

WAITE PARK BURGLARY -- Waite Park Police are asking you to call them if you can help identify two burglars. The two men kicked in a front door, trying to get to two people staying in a bedroom. The burglars left when the people in the bedroom told the intruders they were on the line with the police. Happened at about 1:30 in the morning April 11th -- at 40 15th Avenue North in Waite Park.

 

742 GRADUATION RATES -- The St. Cloud Area School District is launching a three-year, multiple-department plan to close the achievement gap among students and aim for a 100-percent graduation rate. The district graduation rate in 2016 was just under 73-percent.

 

EARTH DAY RUN -- Hundreds of Central Minnesotans are training this week for this weekend's Earth Day 5K Friday night and Scheel's Half Marathon Saturday morning. And even if you're not taking part, you can cheer for all the runners along the routes.

 

RAINY NOW, NICE WEEKEND AHEAD -- The weather looks to be nice for Saturday's half marathon -- in the 40s with mostly sunny skies. Rain showers across the region should move out by early Thursday. Dry this weekend.
