Take In Holiday Music With St. Cloud Symphony Orchestra
ST. CLOUD (WJON News) -- The St. Cloud Symphony Orchestra will present two different holiday concerts on Saturday. At 10:00 a.m. they will perform the "Children's Holiday Concert" and at 3:00 p.m. their "Holiday Concert."
The two shows will feature holiday favorites plus music from Bach, Ellington, and the popular "Sleigh Ride" by Leroy Anderson. The children's show will also have conductor Chi-Chi Bestmann performing the "Theme from Kung Fu Panda" on erhu, a Chinese two-stringed instrument, and Charles Gorczynski playing on bandoneon, a small accordion-like instrument often used in tangos.

Plus, St. Cloud Suzuki Studio students and the Central Minnesota Youth Orchestra will play in the lobby before the 3:00 p.m. show. The Children's concert is free for kids 17 and under and $15 for adults. The cost for the 3:00 p.m. Holiday concert is $25 for adults, $20 for Seniors, and $5 for students. Both concerts will be held in Ritsche Auditorium at St. Cloud State University.
