State Patrol: Baxter Driver Crashes After Falling Asleep

STAPLES -- A Baxter man was taken to the hospital after a one-vehicle crash.

The Minnesota State Patrol says it happened at about 3:30 p.m. Wednesday on Highway 210 in Staples Township in Todd County.

Sixty-six-year-old Edwin Winkelman apparently fell asleep and went off the road and hit a sign.

He was taken to Staples Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
