Rice Man Struck, Killed By Semi

RICE - A Rice man was struck and killed by a semi. Twenty-nine-year-old Jeffrey Skroch had stopped the semi he was driving in the northbound lane of Highway 25, partially in the lane, at the intersection with Benton County Road 22 east of Rice.

The State Patrol says it appears Skroch was standing outside the truck when he was hit, by a second semi.

The second semi was driven by 31-year-old Christopher Marzofka of Boyceville, Wisconsin. He suffered non life-threatening injuries.

The incident happened just before 9:00 p.m. last (Wednesday) night.
