Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Monday, February 16, 2026 for Mary Lou Trushenski, age 89, who passed away Monday February 9, 2026. Rev. Dr. Timothy Rehwaldt will officiate, and burial will be at St. John’s Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at church. Arrangements have been entrusted to Williams Dingmann Family Funeral Home in Sauk Rapids.

Mary Lou Trushenski was born on February 23, 1936 in Benton County on a cold wintry night at the family farm to John and Violet (Roth) Gratke. She grew up on the farm and went to a country school for eight years, walking every day. She graduated from Foley High School in 1953. She then went to the cities and worked for four years, coming back to marry Eugene Trushenski at St. John’s Lutheran Church on May 11, 1957 in Popple Creek where she was baptized, confirmed, married and now buried in the church cemetery. They farmed together for 39 years and raised three children. Mary Lou enjoyed sewing, gardening, canning, mowing the lawn, feeding and watching the birds. She also enjoyed Gospel, Country, and Polka music, and playing cards. They retired in 1995 and did a lot of travelling, enjoying God’s country.

Mary Lou leaves behind son Mark (Jackie) of Clear Lake; son in law, Charles Bigler; and daughter in law, Becky Trushenski; 12 lovely grandchildren; 7 adorable great grandchildren; loving brother Jim Gratke who called every Thursday night at 7 p.m.; sister-in-law Leora Trushenski; nieces, nephews; relatives and friends.

Preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Duane and Kenneth(Gwen); sister in law, Judy Gratke; daughter, Janele Bigler in 2013; husband Eugene in 2019; son Dale in 2022.
