ST. CLOUD -- No one was hurt when lightning sparked a fire at a small St. Cloud apartment building early this morning.

Police and fire crews were called out to the 1500 block of 16th Avenue Southeast for an eight-plex on fire at about 2:30 a.m.

Authorities arrived to find the building had been struck by lightening and was on fire. No one was home at the time.

Red Cross was called in to assist with temporary housing until the building can be repaired.
