One of the things that I absolutely love at this time of year is how cozy and inviting the upcoming holiday events make everything.  Even if it's cold outside, the holiday lights, candlelight, hot holiday drinks and more make everything just warm up somehow.

If you haven't been to Duluth for the holiday tour of Glensheen Mansion, you should really make a plan to do that at some point this year.  First of all, they basically have a Christmas tree in every room. All fully decorated and lit up.  The trees vary in size, but every one of them just screams holiday and Christmas.  So going through the mansion during the day if fun and inviting.  It does get even better.

CANDLELIGHT TOURS

Book a tour at night for the candlelit tour experience.  This gives a whole new perspective on the tour that you take during the daylight hours.  The candlelight tours begin on November 28th, which is the day after Thanksgiving.  The candlelight tours will continue through December 28th.  They are all on Fridays and Saturdays, but there are also some bonus days that you can book a tour on - December 14th, 21st, 28th from    5 pm-8 pm.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT

Find yourself in the mansion self-guided by the lights of the Christmas trees, candles, and the light fixtures of Glensheen. Tour enhancements such as music and decorations are in place to create a magical tour experience. This gorgeous display will surely make it onto your yearly Christmas bucket list, as you are fully immersed in what it must have been like for the Congdon’s on a magical Christmas evening.

You can book your tour in advance online by going to the Glensheen mansion website.  Cost is $12-$35.  The price will fluctuate depending on the type of tour that you decide to take.
