The Minnesota Department of Transportation says crews will be closing Highway 55 between South Haven and Kimball so they can complete underground utility work. The work is part of a larger downtown South Haven project.
Access to local businesses and homes will be maintained, but otherwise, drivers must follow a detour. The detour will be via County Road 7 from South Haven to Fairhaven, then onto County Road 44 to Kimball.
All lanes will reopen to traffic in mid-October.
