OSAKIS -- Two people were hurt in a crash involving three vehicles.  The Minnesota State Patrol says it happened at about 6:00 p.m. Friday on Highway 27 near Osakis in Todd county.

A car driven by 20-year-old Caleb Kilman of Alexandria was going west when he swerved to miss a deer and went into the ditch.

Another vehicle driven by 36-year-old Daniel Borstad of Osakis turned around to go check on Kilman when another vehicle sideswiped his vehicle.  The third vehicle went into the ditch striking Kilman's car.

The driver of the third vehicle and his passenger, 83-year-old Donald Brown of Burtrum and 82-year-old Barbara Brown of Burtrum, were both taken to CentraCare Hospital in Long Prairie with non-life threatening injuries.

Kilman and Borstad were not hurt.
