This weekend features the Grand Celebration Powwow in Hinckley. There's also a birthday party this weekend in Cold Spring for Third Street Brewhouse. They'll be tapping an anniversary beer on Saturday. There's also a few chances to check out some great artwork, or head to the varsity theater for some blast from the past music.

    Third Street Brewhouse is celebrating their 3rd Birthday, and you are invited to the party. The event features live music, food, brewery tours, and a new beer. Harper's Chord and The Jason Paulson Band are providing music. The anniversary beer, "Rise 3 Above Cream Ale" will be tapped at 5:00 p.m. this Saturday. This is the first time it's getting released. Brewery tours will be from 2:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. A free shuttle will be running between Grizzly's in St. Cloud and Third Street. The shuttle departs from Grizzly's at 2:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m., and leaves the Brewhouse at 4:30 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. The MN Brewery Running Series 5K will take place before the party starting at 12:00 p.m.

    Millstream Arts Festival: Best in Show

    The 2014 winners of the Millstream Arts Festival are being featured in this exhibit. A reception will be held on September 25th from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. in the Gorecki Gallery to kick of the 2015 Millstream Arts Festival. Artist talks will be at 6:00- p.m. The top three winners were 1st place winner Dan Mondloch who worked with watercolors, 2nd place Bill Gossman in ceramics, and 3rd place Erica Belkholm with with pencil and ink. This year's Millstream Arts Festival will be on Sunday, September 27th from 11:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

    24th Annual Grand Celebration Powwow

    Powwow Grounds - Grand Casino Hinckley

    The 24th Annual Grand Celebration Powwow is being held through out the weekend. The event features the WEWIN Fudraiser Golf Tournament on Saturday at the Grand National Golf Course and over $85,000 in prize money. Drum groups invited to the event include Big Bear from Saskatchewan, Bear Creek from Ontario, and Thunder Hill from Oklahoma. The Master of Ceremonies are Terry Fiddler from Praire Island and AMIK from Hinckley. Powwow Grand Entries will be at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, 1:00 p.m. & 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, and 1:00 p.m. on Sunday. This is a free event.

    Artist Guild of Central Minnesota Members Exhibition

    The Artist Guild of Central Minnesota has a member exhibition at the Great River Arts Center. There is an opening reception tonight (Thursday) from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. Members that are part of this exhibit include sculptural ceramicist Ken Farber, painter Michele Feriancek, sculptor Melissa Gohman, painter Jill Doubeldee Kuhn, painter Dan Mondloch, painter Rachelle Netland, photographer Chuck Norwood, expressionist painter Jo Svaren, painter Willicey Tynes, and painter Lisa Molitor. This exhibition is available for everyone to see until June 27th.

    Ballroom Blitz! An Evening of 70's & 80's Glam

    Varsity Theater - Minneapolis

    Ballroom Blitz! An Evening of 70's and 80's Glam features Appetite for Zaccardi, Sick Things, Little Man, and DJ Lady Heat. Tickets are $8 in advance, and $12 the day of the show. This is a 18+ event. Doors at the Varsity Theater open at 8:00 p.m. with the show starting at 9:00 p.m. Little Man will start playing covering the music of T. Rex, followed by Appetite for Zaccardi playing Guns & Roses at 10:00 p.m., and then Sick Things plays music from Alice Cooper starting at 11:00 p.m.
