St. Cloud Man Arrested After Allegedly Pointing Gun at Police

ST. CLOUD - A 22-year-old St. Cloud man has been arrested after he allegedly pointed a gun at police.

The incident began at about 1:40 a.m. this (Thursday) morning in the 3200 block of 15th Street North.

Officers were called to investigate an argument.  Through a screen door they spotted Austin Stirling pick-up a black handgun and point it at another person in the apartment.  When officers identified themselves he pointed the gun at them.  Prior to the officers entering the apartment, another person inside knocked the gun out of Stirling's hand.

The gun recovered is a black BB gun, which looks identical to a semiautomatic handgun.
