Get Ready For Music And Fireworks At St. Cloud’s July 4th
ST. CLOUD (WJON News) -- The 79th annual St. Cloud Fireworks show is this Friday, on the 4th of July.

Executive Director Christina Buttenhoff says one change this year is that all of the organized events will be in Wilson Park, instead of at both Hester Park and Wilson Park.
Everything we had at Hester Park will be moved over to Wilson. If you want to go down to Hester to view the fireworks, you still can; it will be open for viewing.
Buttenhoff says the city is still closing 6th Avenue for parking, and 5th Avenue will still be available for handicap parking.
Activities at Wilson Park will begin at noon with food and beverage vendors.
Entertainment line-up:
St. Cloud Municipal Band 3:30 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Rock'n Rick 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.
Swamp Donkey's Band 7:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m.
Buttenhoff says new this year will be the VFW Post 428.
At about 9:45 p.m., they are going to do a 21-gun salute and present a flag. We're thinking the guns will show some fire when we get to that point of the night, so a really cool presence.
The fireworks will begin at 10:00 p.m. and will last for about 25 minutes
It costs about $70,000 to put on the show every year. Buttenhoff says they have their costs covered for this year, but are accepting donations for next year's show already, which will be the 80th consecutive fireworks show in St. Cloud on the nation's 250th birthday. They'll be doing a 50/50 raffle at Wilson Park on Friday to help raise money.
The St. Cloud Fireworks Committee is all volunteer.
