Sheriff: Alcohol Believed to a Factor in Rollover Near Richmond
MUNSON TOWNSHIP -- A Richmond man is hurt after rolling his truck early Saturday morning.
The incident happened just before 4:00 a.m. at the intersection of Edgeton Road and Minnesota Highway 22 near Richmond.
The Stearns County Sheriff's Office says 22-year-old Tyler Mandelko, of Richmond, was traveling eastbound on Edgeton Road when he approached a bridge crossing, veered towards the south ditch, hit the bridge support, went airborne and rolled.
His truck came to a rest on the driver's side along the east bank of Long Lake partially in the water.
Edgeton was taken to St. Cloud Hospital by a private party, who later reported the crash to police. Mandelko suffered minor injuries in the crash.
Police say alcohol is believed to be a factor in the crash and remains under investigation.
