ST. CLOUD -- A special art gallery will be on display in downtown St. Cloud for the next week.

The 27 piece gallery is full of artwork created by St. Cloud State University alumni.

"We had up to 90 pieces submitted but only one-third of the work were selected for the exhibit," says Gohman.

Melissa Gohman is the Visual Arts Director at the Paramount Theatre and an SCSU Alum. She says the gallery is a great way to reconnect with other artists.

"Not only do we have talented SCSU grads that work in our community, but we have some amazing artists that have moved on an have had outstanding careers," says Gohman.

The exhibit is a juried show with each piece selected by a juror with prizes totaling $1,000.

Pieces on display range from photography, paintings, and sculptures. Gohman says if you want to see the exhibit you only have a week to check it out.

"This exhibit is up and running through September 24th and then we have another exhibit moving in," says Gohman.

A public reception for the exhibit will take place tomorrow (Friday) from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. as part of Celebrate St. Cloud State weekend.

The gallery is open to the public Wednesday through Friday from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. in the Regency Building in downtown St. Cloud.
