North St. Cloud Home Destroyed By Fire

ST. CLOUD - A home in north St. Cloud has been destroyed in a fire.

The St. Cloud Fire Department says the call came in just after 12:30 a.m. this (Saturday) morning for a fire at 610 7th Avenue North. By the time fire crews arrived the home was fully engulfed in flames.

Due to the size of the home, which was about 4,500 square feet, the Sauk Rapids, Sartell, Waite Park, St. Augusta, and Cold Spring fire departments were called in to help put out the fire.

There was an initial report of one person in the home, but no one was found inside.

The damage is estimated at about $140,000.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
