Nicholas Scott Rose, 59, Columbus

Funeral Service Saturday will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 18, 2017 at Salem Lutheran Church, 90 Riverside Ave SE, St. Cloud for Nicholas Scott Rose who passed away on Monday. Visitation will be two hours prior to the service at church. A private burial will be at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to Williams Dingmann Funeral Home, St. Cloud.

Nick was born April 20, 1958 at Travis Airforce base in Fairfield, CA to Ronald and Donna (James) Rose. He attended Harding High School in St. Paul and went on to become a union painter. Nick was a devoted husband and son, caring for his wife Ruth and mother Donna during their battles with cancer. Nick loved to spend time with his granddaughters, taking them to playgrounds when they were little and playing endless board-games with them when they got older. Nick was an avid history and science buff. He enjoyed working on cars and watching TV. One of his favorite experiences was vacationing with Ruth in England. He had a quick and sarcastic sense of humor that made him a favorite of his caregivers. Nick passed away peacefully on November 13, 2017 of lung cancer.

Nick is survived by his step-son Jeremy Lehto (Lori Carr), Granddaughters Ellie and Anna Lehto, Brother Brian Rose, Sister Chyrell Reich (Buddy), Nephews Jacob and Joshua, many loving uncles, aunts, cousins, sisters and brothers in law, and extended family.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Ruth Kimler (Hess), his father Ron, and his mother Donna.
