Guilty Pleas In Crash That Killed 3 Near Willmar

WILLMAR, (AP) - A 22-year-old man has pleaded guilty to felony charges resulting from a highway crash that killed three members of a family in Kandiyohi County.

Paul Wickenhauser reached a plea deal with prosecutors and pleaded guilty to three counts of criminal vehicular homicide in the crash that killed 68-year-old Marta Stoffers, of Atwater, her daughter-in-law, 40-year-old Michelle Hoffman and Hoffman's 8-year-old daughter, Julia.

After drinking last August, Wickenhauser crashed his pickup into the victims' van which caught fire. Hoffman's 5-year-old son, Jason, survived the crash. Wickenhauser will be sentenced Aug. 9.
