GREAT Theatre Announces 2025/2026 Season – Mostly

WAITE PARK (WJON News) -- GREAT Theatre announced its 2025/26 season—well, most of it anyway. One title remains a mystery for now.

The season was announced at Back Shed Brewing during GREAT’s annual fundraiser on Monday evening.

For GREAT Theatre, ticket sales cover just 60% of the more than $1.8 million it costs to produce a season of shows.

The season will begin at the Helgeson Learning Lab Theatre, located at GREAT’s headquarters in Waite Park, with their seventh annual Youth Artist Project. This year’s production, Elephant & Piggie’s We Are in a Play Jr.

Two additional productions will take place at the Helgeson Learning Lab Theatre: Anon(ymous), and Cabaret.

GREAT will rent the Paramount Center for the Arts for a total of 12 weekends of performances throughout the season.

The production of 9 to 5. For the holidays, they’ll bring Annie to the stage for the first time in over 12 years. And, in the beginning of 2026, they’ll produce School of Rock: The Musical.
