Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 30, 2015 at Shepherd of the Pines Lutheran Church in Rice for Floyd O. Erdmann, 93 of Rice who passed away on Friday at the St. Cloud Hospital with his loving family by his side. Rev. Robert Trinklein will officiate and burial will be at Trinity Lutheran Cemetery in Sauk Rapids. Friends and relatives may call from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Monday at the Williams Dingmann Family Funeral Home in Sauk Rapids and 1 hour prior to services Tuesday at the church in Rice.

Floyd Oscar Erdmann was born on June 6, 1922. He was the only child of Michael and Ida (Albrecht) Erdmann. Floyd was married to Phyllis A. Anderson on October 31, 1953 in Isle. He proudly served his country in the United States Army during World War II. He spent time as a child showing his animals at the Minnesota State Fair. He raised polled herferd beef cattle and also raised chickens as well as hogs. He owned and operated Erdmann Construction for many years. Floyd was a member of the Rice American Legion Post 473.

Survivors include his sons and daughters, Lloyd (Debbie) of Rice, Dale (Kathy) of Annandale, Brian (Wendy) of Rice, Sally (Charlie) Loehrer of Rice and Nancy (Paul) Billmeyer of Rice, 16 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents; and wife, Phyllis.
