WET WEATHER -- More wet weather for Central Minnesota. Widespread rain Friday night through Saturday morning, but scattered showers are expected through Sunday morning.

 

PROSTITUTION SENTENCES -- Two men who pleaded guilty to prostitution charges involving a 15-year-old boy in Cold Spring have been sentenced. Neither 56-year-old Kenneth Vilter nor 60-year-old Joseph Burton will have to serve any more jail time as long as they don't violate their probations. Otherwise, they each could serve up to a year-and-a-half in prison.

 

ALEXANDRIA TEEN -- Police are on the lookout for a missing teenager from western Minnesota. 17-year-old Tekoa Dotson of Brooten left without permission and is believed to be in the Brooten/Belgrade or St. Cloud metro area.

 

RESTAURANT CLOSES -- After less than a year in business, the St. Cloud Family Restaurant has closed. The Mexican and American cuisine restaurant was in the former Old Country Buffet location at Midtown Square.

 

AQUATICS CENTER/YMCA TO OPEN -- Crews are working to put the finishing touches on the new St. Cloud Community Aquatics Center and YMCA in north St. Cloud. You can see the new facility at a community open house, Saturday from 9 to 3:30. The new YMCA opens at 5 am, May 30th.

 

BUS ROADEO -- The best bus drivers from the St. Cloud area competed in today's Bus Roadeo at St. Cloud State. The top two drivers in the large- and small-bus categories will go on to the state regionals in July with the possibility of driving in nationals. Jerry Schmitz and Mike Keller will compete in large bus. Todd DeZurik and David Peacock are going to state in the small bus category.
