UPDATE: Fugitive Remains on the Run in Paynesville

PAYNESVILLE -- Authorities continue to search for a suspect with multiple felony warrants near Paynesville.

Earlier this week, 28-year-old Ryan Clover eluded police in an area in north Paynesville and he was spotted in town at about 10:00 a.m. Thursday morning.

Paynesville Police Chief Paul Wegner says Clover entered a home without permission and stole a cell phone before fleeing on foot into a wooded area.

A number of law enforcement agencies set up a perimeter around the area. After nearly nine hours, the search was called off.

Clover is wanted on multiple felony warrants including terroristic threats and for failing to register as a predatory offender.

Reports say Clover has been known to be armed and should be considered dangerous. He has recently made comments about hurting himself and law enforcement.
