From Sonny and Cher to Hall and Oates, Ploof and company will have you rocking as they pay homage to music's best 1-2 punches while piquing your interest as they introduce little-known facts about each duo they cover. Schommer spent years opening for fellow Minnesotan Louie Anderson in Las Vegas and has toured the country performing his quick-witted, energetic comedy.     A weekend of entertainment continues at the Paramount Theatre Sunday afternoon as the Lake Wobegon Brass Band performs. As part of the Paramount's Local Roots Series, the Lake Wobegon Brass Band will provide the rich, full music sound they've perfected since being established nearly 25 years ago in Anoka. The Lake Wobegon Brass Band has performed for hundreds of thousands both at home and overseas -- including gaining a fan in Garrison Keillor. You can get your ticket for $8.

    GREAT Theatre: Mr. Popper's Penguins

    Take the family out to the campus of St. John's University this weekend GREAT Theatre kicks off its new series, Mr. Popper's Penguins, at the Stephen B. Humphrey Theater. Never before performed by GREAT, Mr. Popper's Penguins tells the story of a modest family man who unexpectedly becomes caretaker for numerous penguins. In order to make ends meet, Mr. Popper takes his penguins on the road as a vaudeville act and hilarity ensues.     Stand Up to Stigma

    Red Carpet Event Center

    An evening of entertainment for a good cause is happening at the Red Carpet Event Center in downtown St. Cloud Saturday with the Stand Up to Stigma fundraiser. It's the first annual fundraising event for local organization The Beautiful Mind Project, which works to defeat the stigmas attached to mental illness. A creative cocktail happy hour begins the night at 4:30 p.m. with live music by Harbor Drive Hookup, hors d'oeuvres, and a few new cocktails specifically made for the event. The second half of the night features comedy performed by five-time Minnesota comedian of the year, Scott Hanson performing at 8:00 p.m. Tickets for the first half are available for $20 and $30 for the comedy show. You can get tickets for the full night for $45.
