School Board Set to Approve New Superintendent’s Contract

ST. CLOUD -- The St. Cloud Area School District 742 Board will be voting on the final contract for new superintendent Willie Jett tonight (Thursday).

The contract will begin July 1st, and run through June 30th, 2016. Jett will make $170,000 in year one, nearly $174,000 in year two and over $178,000 in his third year.

The new superintendent will work at least 260 days during the year. Jett's new contract will also allow him 25 days of annual paid vacation.

Current District 742 Superintendent Bruce Watkins' 2012-2013 salary is over $166,000. Jett is replacing Watkins who will be retiring at the end of June.
