SARTELL -- A local teacher has been awarded Middle School Educator of the Year by Junior Achievement of the Upper Midwest.

Lori Dornberg, a 7th and 8th grade teacher at Sartell Middle School has been awarded for implementing Junior Achievement's programs into her classroom.

JA's middle school programs stress the value of educating students about the economic benefits of staying in school.

According to a recent survey conducted by Junior Achievement USA, 95% of JA teachers say students who participate in the program have a better understanding of how the real world works.

Junior Achievement of the Upper Midwest has been serving students in Minnesota and other states since 1949. The program helps students in grades K-12 with financial literacy, college and career readiness and entrepreneurship education.
