ST. CLOUD (WJON News) -- The annual Butterfly Release is this Sunday.

The event is organized by Quiet Oaks Hospice House as a memorial fundraiser. The proceeds support end-of-life care for their residents and families.

Executive Director Linda Allen says the Butterfly Release is open to everyone. Anyone who has experienced a loss will find it meaningful, and everyone is invited.

They will gather in the Munsinger Gardens at 2:00 p.m. and release hundreds of monarch butterflies together at 2:30 p.m.

The event is part of the regular Music in the Gardens with the band Monday Night Jazz playing at 3:00 p.m. Root beer floats will also be available.
