Missing Alzheimer’s Patient Found

MELROSE -- An 87-year-old woman who went missing Thursday has been found.

The Stearns County Sheriff's Office says Aurelia Sunderman of Melrose was reported missing shortly before 7:00 p.m.

Sunderman suffers from Alzheimer's and limited mobility and was previously seen between 1:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m. in the 41000 block of 355th Avenue in Melrose Township.

Deputies arrived and started searching. Family members found Sunderman tangled in a barb wire fence shortly before 7:45 p.m.

She was taken to the Melrose Hospital with minor injuries.
