Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30AM on Wednesday, December 7, 2016 at Country Manor Chapel in Sartell for Mae Elizabeth Richardson, age 94, of St. Cloud who passed away peacefully on Thursday. Rev. LeRoy Maus will officiate and burial will be at the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery in Little Falls. Friends and family may call one hour prior to services on Wednesday. Arrangements have been entrusted to Williams Dingmann Funeral Home, St. Cloud.

Mae Elizabeth Richardson was born November 4, 1922 in Milaca to Helmer and Marie (Anderson) Odegard. She married Lawrence E. “Red” Richardson on January 30, 1942 at Our Lady of Lorretto Catholic Church in Los Angeles. She was a Rosie the Riveter during WWII, working at Cargal in St. Cloud. Mae was a trainer and group leader at Fingerhut Corporation for many years. She was a member of St. Augustine’s Catholic Church, East Side VFW Ladies Auxiliary and past president and life member of Military Order of the Cootie. Mae enjoyed traveling, ceramics and playing bingo. She especially loved spending time at her cabin on Lake Mille Lacs and knitting afghans for her family members.

Mae is survived by her nieces, nephews and many close friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, brother; Carl Odegard and sister, Grace Pfaff.

In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to Poor Clares Monastery.

Mae’s family and friends would like to express sincere thanks to St. Croix Hospice and Country Manor for their kindness and care of Mae.
