Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, March 5, 2015 at St. Margaret’s Catholic Church in Lake Henry for Lorraine A. Olmscheid, age 88, of Lake Henry. Lorraine passed away March 1, 2015 at the Koronis Manor in Paynesville. Burial will take place in St. Margaret’s Parish Cemetery.

Relatives and friends may call from 4-8 p.m. on Wednesday and after 9 a.m. on Thursday both at St. Margaret’s Catholic Church in Lake Henry.

Lorraine was born November 20, 1926 in Lake Henry to Ben and Mary (Loecken) Heinen. She married Jerome A. Olmscheid on September 23, 1947 at St. Margaret’s Catholic Church in Lake Henry. They farmed in Lake Henry on her home farm until 1982. After retirement they moved to the town of Lake Henry where she served the church as Sacristan for many years. She was an active member of St. Margaret’s Parish, Christian Women, St. Margaret’s Rosary Society, Catholic United Financial and Catholic Order of Foresters.

Lorraine was a devoted and faithful woman. She enjoyed quilting, gardening, playing cards and Lake Henry Baseball. She especially enjoyed spending time with her husband, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Lorraine is survived by her children Ron (Bernice) of Lake Henry, Diane (Robert) Pelzer of Lake Henry, Dan (Lynn) of Paynesville, Gary (Pat) of Lake Henry, Dennis of Paynesville, Randy (Ruth) of St. Martin, Sandy (Roy) Lensing of Belgrade, Mary (Glenn) Miller of Nisswa, and Julie (Joe) Prince of Buffalo, 27 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren, one great great grandson, sister-in-law Florence Heinen and brother-in-law Leo Olmscheid.

Preceding her in death were her parents; Ben & Mary Heinen, husband Jerome (2012), great granddaughter Kendra Olmscheid, brothers and sisters Lillian Schmitz, Innocent Heinen, Viola Olmscheid, Cyrilla Heinen, Jeanette Heinen and one infant brother.
