
Family-friendly Events Light Up June In Central Minnesota
The month of June is packed with family-friendly festivals and activities throughout Central Minnesota. Here is a look at all of the fun coming to your backyard this month.
WAITE PARK FAMILY FUN FEST
June 8th through the 12th
Waite Park's Family Fun Fest aka Spass Tag, begins on Monday, June 8th with the Medallion Hunt.
Wednesday, June 10th is Kids Day, with Boy Scouts selling hot dogs and pop, a kid's project build, carnival games, inflatables, a bubble machine, face painting, hockey with the Granite City Lumberjacks, cookie decoration and a kiddie parade.
Thursday's activities include the city wide garage sale, Quarry Tours, food vendors, music in the park and the Grand Day Parade.
Friday will feature food vendors and a beer garden alongside the 14th annual car show and the winner of the medallion hunt will be announced.

FOLEY FUN DAYS
June 12th through the 17th
Foley Fun Days begins with Friday's City Wide Garage Sale, which continues on Saturday, June 13th as well.
Freedom Flight is offering hot air balloon rides at Northern Hollow Winery on Saturday evening. In addition, there will be a free showing of the movie "An American Tail" on Saturday night at FGU.
The carnival will begin on Monday and go through Wednesday, with each day split into two separate wristband sessions. Also starting Monday is the Medallion Hunt.
On Tuesday, June 16th Free Grace United will host an ice cream social, and there will be pickleball and tennis tournaments taking place as part of Fun Days. In addition, a Hot Rod show is slated for the St. John's parking lot on Tuesday beginning at 4 p.m..
SARTELL SUMMERFEST
June 13th
This one-day summer festival promises fun for all ages beginning with the parade at 10 a.m. that runs along County Road 1.
At 4 p.m. kids can register for the Summer Dash 1K, followed by a Kids Zone at the Sartell Community Center, live music and a beer garden and food trucks. Fireworks close out the day of fun at 10 p.m..
AVON SPUNKTACULAR DAYS
June 19th/20th
Avon's Spunktacular Days begin with a Medallion Hunt on Tuesday, June 16th in advance of the festival's official opening on Friday, June 19th.
Friday's events include the 7th annual Car Show, live music from T&T Duo and a food court featuring burgers, prime rib sandwiches, brats, turkey legs and much more.
Friday will also feature kid's games beginning at 5:30 p.m. and a tractor pedal pull.
On Saturday, kids can participate in a fishing contest beginning at 9 a.m.. In addition, Saturday features face painting, turtle races, a petting zoo, pony rides, inflatables, a clown and a fire hose car race.
Other activities at the Spunktacular on Saturday include a 1K and 5K run/walk; a nature ride, craft fair, parade and live music.

GRANITE CITY DAYS (ST. CLOUD)
June 24th through the 28th
Wednesday, June 24th's Summertime By George, featuring the Fabulous Armadillos, is the official kickoff to St. Cloud's Granite City Days.
On Thursday the 25th, St. Cloud State University will host the Lemonade and Art Fair on campus, followed by the St. Cloud Symphony Orchestra's concert at 7:30 p.m..
On Friday, Lake George is the site for "Park & Rock", which will feature family entertainment, touch-a-truck, a vendor village, kids zone and food trucks.
Saturday's events include a pre-parade party at the Great River Children's Museum. the Granite City Days Parade at 10 a.m., Panstock and the Granite City Ski Show at 2 p.m..
