After 5 Years Ulta Out – New Beauty Concept In at Target Stores
Oh - it was a mutual split. It's like something that you hear from a friend who just broke up with their significant other. My personal feeling is that it's always one sided, but the other side just sees that this is the right move.
ULTA BEAUTY HAS HAD A PARTNERSHIP WITH TARGET FOR 5 YEARS
Ulta Beauty has been in about 600 Target stores for the last five years. The contract was up, and apparently both parties have agreed to part ways and not renew the contract.
The separation will happen this August, but never fear, there is another beauty concept will replace the Ulta collab. This fall, the new Target Beauty Studio will be available online and in more than 600 Target stores across the nation. No actual word if the St. Cloud stores will be included in this or not.
WHAT WILL BE COMING IN PLACE OF ULTA BEAUTY AT TARGET STORES
From the Target Corporation Press Release:
This fall, Target Beauty Studio will launch in more than 600 stores and online, with plans to expand to more stores in the future. Target Beauty Studio is a completely reimagined destination within Target’s beauty department designed to spotlight prestige beauty brands. The new space will be curated with more than 60 new-to-Target brands that meet growing guest demand for elevated, prestige products and trend-driven innovation across skincare, haircare, fragrance and cosmetics.
AS FALL APPROACHES TARGET SHOPPERS WILL FIND MORE INFORMATION
Sounds like this new concept will have some other Target perks involved. Such as Target Circle deals, exclusive deals on prestige and some emerging brands, team members who only work in that area to help guests in the store, and opportunities to go back and forth between in-store shopping and online shopping without missing any deals.
Target has made the statement in the press release that they will reveal more about the new concept as they get closer to the launch date coming this fall.
