Here Comes The Sun…Flowers: Isanti Field To Open Next Weekend
If you are looking for some late summer day trips or a simple date idea, an Isanti sunflower field is expected to open up next weekend for a month of vibrant color, tall flowers, and a great reason to get the family together. Here's what we know about the opening.
Green Barn Sunflower Days
The Green Barn in Isanti is going to be opening up next weekend, August 8th, for a month of sunflower blooms and plenty of opportunities for you and the family to come and enjoy late summer.
According to an event post from Green Barn: "Stroll through thousands of blooming sunflowers, capture beautiful photos, and enjoy a relaxing walk along our sunflower trail featuring fun photo props for all ages. This year we've planted six (and a half) sunflower crops to provide an extended season of color, with blooms expected from August 8 through September 8 (weather permitting)."
Know Before You Go
Green Barn is offering visitors the chance to know how things are looking before they commit to the drive, as coming from the St. Cloud area would take about an hour. Before you come, check the Green Barn's website for updates on the fields. Plus the website also gives visitors an idea of what else will be on site, like food trucks and/or special events. Here's the link to check.
Admission will be $7/person, and the hours that the fields will be open are:
9:00 AM – 8:00 PM
Last entry 8pm, stay until sunset.
9:00 AM-7:00 PM
Last entry 7pm, stay until sunset.
Sunflower Fields Are Still Popular
Is it just me, or was anyone else wondering if sunflower fields were still a big deal? I remember during 2020-2022 it seemed like everyone was out enjoying sunflower fields, but I haven't heard or seen much about them until this year.

I hope they are making a comeback, as they are one of my favorite things to see on a road trip; it breaks up all the fields of corn and soybeans.
