How Many Minnesotans Own This Cooler That Was Just Recalled
Here in Minnesota, there are a lot of reasons to have a good cooler. Whether it’s on your boat or at your cabin at the lake, or you take the trusty cooler with you while your ice fishing, a good cooler is a necessity.

You can find additional uses for a cooler, like propping a door open, or using it as a seat if it’s big enough, otherwise, coolers have one main function.
You want it to keep your stuff cold and not harm you in the process.
The second part of that has become an issue for one popular cooler company. The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission says that Igloo has recalled their 90quart flip and tow rolling coolers.
The issue isn’t with the cooler keeping your items at the temperature you want, it's with the handle on the cooler, it can pinch your fingers.
This isn’t a joke! The Consumer Product Safety Commission says that the injury can be serious enough to cause amputation of the fingertips.
Thus far, 12 people have reported injuries which included some amputations, bone fractures, and cuts.
These Igloo coolers were sold at numerous big box retailers like Costco, Target, Dicks, and online through Amazon. The cooler could have the description names like: Maxicold Lattitude, Lattitude Roller, Sportsman and EcoCool Lattitude.
There were over a million of these coolers sold in America, and that’s not counting what was sold in Mexico and Canada.
The repair seems to be fairly simple because Igloo says if you own one of these coolers, you should contact them for a replacement handle that should work as expected.
