ST. CLOUD (WJON News) -- The city of St. Cloud has seen a lot of growth in one of its two industrial parks over the past few years.

Economic Development Director Cathy Mehelich says the I-94 Industrial Park off Opportunity Drive is nearly full. She says activity over the past few years includes Associated Wholesale Grocers which employs up to 250 workers, there's a new freight company operating in the park, and Rice Companies built a speculative building which is nearly full.

Mehelich says, that with that park pretty much at capacity, they are turning their attention to the Airport Business Park off County Road 8 on the east side of town.

It currently has three tenants Geringhoff, National Vision, and the former Beaver Island building which is still for sale out there.  We really want to reenvision that remarket that we have over 200 acres that are available in this beautiful location for a regional manufacturing center.

Mehelich says they are looking at giving that industrial park a new name in 2024 to help market it better to potential manufacturers.
