ST. CLOUD -- District 742's Local Education Activities Foundation has announced a total of $63,534 in fall 2017 grant awards.

Each year LEAF awards grants to academics, activities, arts and athletic programming across District 742. Teachers, coaches, and advisers can submit grant applications for special projects twice during the school year. Academic grants are awarded each March.

Some of the larger grants awarded this fall are $1,000 to Tech High School for new 9th Grade Boys Basketball uniforms and $6,557 to help homeless kids and families of District 742.  District elementary schools will be receiving a $10,417 grant for the Talent Development Program.

There was also a total of $18,500 in Adopt a Classroom grants.

LEAF was founded in 1993 as an independent non-profit for the purpose of promoting and enhancing extra-curricular activities and opportunities in District 742.
