ST. CLOUD -- A St. Cloud Cathedral teacher is being selected as a recipient of a J. William Fulbright Scholarship.

Dick McMorrow is a social studies teacher who will participate in the 2013 Fulbright-Hays Seminar program in China.

The seminar program will provide a unique in-country experience for educators and administrators to learn more about the Asian country.

McMorrow says the Sequester is delaying the process but he says they will probably leave sometime in mid to late June.

McMorrow has spent 11 years at the school teaching classes on government, politics, psychology and principles of business. Beyond his in-class instruction, he leads an annual group of students on a 17 day trip to Tanzania, Africa where students work in a primary school or orphanage.

The Fulbright Scholarship is one of the most prestigious award programs worldwide, awarded by the United States Department of Education.
