Andrea Ann “Andie” Hewitt, 67, Princeton

Andrea Ann "Andie" Hewitt, age 67, died suddenly on Wednesday, August 23, 2017, at Fairview Northland Hospital in Princeton, MN, surrounded by her family.

Born on November 26, 1949, in Denver Colorado to Andrew and Joyce Leonard (Bennett). She was admitted to nursing school at the age of 17 and had a nursing career that spanned more than 40 years. Many people owe their lives and well-being to her skill and compassion as a nurse. She was a big-hearted and loyal friend and mentor to many in her community.

Andie was a loving and happy wife to husband, John Hewitt, with whom she enjoyed dancing, camping and a love of animals. Together, they resided in Princeton, where she could watch the wildlife every day and immerse herself in nature.

Andie is also survived by her children, Megan Keskitalo (Glenn Eckstein) and Mike (Kerri) Keskitalo; and her beloved grandchildren, Charlie, Angelina and Audrey.

She will be sorely missed by all of us and by her best friend and sister, Pamela Forte, as well as her nieces and nephews, Angee and Dominic Forte and Nina Greenberg.
