Woman Sentenced in Sex Trafficking Case
ST. CLOUD -- A St. Cloud woman who pleaded guilty to sex trafficking will serve a year in jail, rather than the more than nine years in prison prosecutors were seeking.
Stearns County District Court Judge Kris Davick-Halfen sentenced 38-year-old Jade Orcena to one year in jail with the possibility of serving approximately 11 years in prison if she violates terms of her 25 year probation. Orcena must also pay a $1,000 fine and abide by several conditions outlined in her probation.
Prosecutors sought nine years and four months in prison due to the serious nature of the offense and multiple victims.
According to the criminal complaint, a woman left a home at 123 18th Avenue North last April and went to a neighbor’s home frantically asking for the owner to call police. She indicated she had been trafficked for sex and that another woman was still inside that house. Police went to the home of Orcena and Elijah Milsap and found the second woman inside.
The adult women gave separate statements to police describing how they left a treatment facility in another county and were brought to the home by Milsap. They say they were given food and drugs and provided sex for money to male clients.
Milsap was sentenced to 21 years in prison last fall.
