CHILD SEX ABUSE CHARGES -- Sex crimes charges for 32-year-old David Cordova of Sartell. He's charged with six felony counts, accused of sexually abusing a young girl from the time she was six, continuing until she was 15.

 

PROSTITUTION CONVICTION -- Sentencing's set for June 23rd for former St. Cloud State employee Kevin Barnes. A jury convicted the 54-year-old man of a felony. Part of a prostitution sting involving a 17-year-old girl.

 

DEZURIK FIRE -- The sprinkler system at Sartell's DeZURIK industrial valve-making plant knocked down a minor fire that started Tuesday afternoon. Happened in the rubber grinding area. No cause yet -- but no one was hurt. And everyone was able to return to work Tuesday night.

 

PLANTING DELAYED -- A cool and wet April kept many Central Minnesota farmers out of their fields. The government says as of last week, only 12-percent of the corn was planted. That's 9-days behind average.

 

MEASLES CLINIC -- Due to the recent measles outbreak in Minnesota, CentraCare Health is hosting a measles immunization clinic in St. Cloud. Happens Thursday evening at CentraCare Health Plaza.

 

JANE SEYMOUR -- Actress Jane Seymour is in town this week, helping with the CentraCare Health Foundation's annual "Spring Fling" benefit. The star of TV's "Dr. Quinn Medicine Woman" is also hosting a painting session at St. Benedict's Senior Community and will be featured at an art exhibition opening at the Paramount.
