Two Men Arrested in Early Morning Burglary Attempt

ST. CLOUD -- St. Cloud Police arrested two men on attempted burglary charges early this morning.

Officers were called to the 700 block of 17th Avenue South at about 2:00 a.m. for an attempted burglary in progress. The men were trying to get into the home by cutting a screen to an open window on the lower level.

A resident interrupted the men who fled the scene. Police found the suspect's vehicle at 9th Avenue and University Drive South.

Officers arrested 21-year-old John Paciorek of St. Cloud and 20-year-old Derrick Tacker of Clear Lake. Both face charges of attempted first-degree burglary and Paciorek is also expected to be charged with possession of burglary tools.
