Two Arrested in St. Cloud Drug Bust

ST. CLOUD -- Two men are facing multiple charges after a drug bust in St. Cloud netted over 20 pounds of marijuana, three guns and cash.

The Central Minnesota Violent Offender Task Force opened an investigation on a home in the 800 block of 25th Avenue North after learning of possible drug sales. Investigators executed a search warrant on the home Thursday and arrested 27-year-old Horace Wimberly of St. Cloud and 35-year-old Darnell Gray of Minneapolis.

A search of the home revealed just over 23 pounds of marijuana, along with one shotgun, one stolen handgun and another handgun with an obliterated serial number. Authorities also uncovered about $5,000 in cash believed to be from drug sales.

Wimberly faces 3rd-degree drug possession, being a felon in possession of a firearm and possession of a firearm with an obliterated serial number. Gray faces 5th-degree drug possession and being a felon in possession of a firearm. Both were taken to Stearns County Jail.
