Three Teenagers Hurt in Stearns County Crash

CLEARWATER - Three teenagers are hurt after rolling their car just southwest of Clearwater in Lynden Township.

The Stearns County Sheriff's Office says the crash happened on County Road 145 and 188th Street East around 2:30 p.m. Sunday.

Authorities say 18-year-old Tyler Abfalter of Annadale was driving north on County Road 145 when he flipped his car while going around a corner. Abfalter and his two passengers, 18-year-old Kayla Hauwiller of Clearwater and 17-year-old Jaitwan Smith of St. Cloud were taken to St. Cloud Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

After an investigation, the sheriff's office says speed is believed to have been a factor in the crash.
