Stearns County Commissioners Pick Board Leaders

ST. CLOUD -- The Stearns County Board of Commissioners has chosen its new leaders for 2018.

Outgoing chair DeWayne Mareck nominated Commissioner Jeff Mergen for board chair and Joe Perske as vice-chair. No other nominations were introduced and Mergen was voted in on a unanimous vote.

As board chair, Mergen will be responsible for calling the meetings into order and handling the parliamentary procedures of the board.
