St. Cloud Area Ranks Among Most Secure Cities

UNDATED -- The St. Cloud metro area has made a list of one of the most secure areas in the nation.  However, we rank behind several other cities in the upper midwest.

The 7th annual Farmers Insurance Group ranks St. Cloud the 11th most secure place to live in the U.S. among mid-sized cities.

The rankings took into consideration crime statistics, extreme weather, risk of natural disasters, housing depreciation, foreclosures, air quality, environmental hazards, terrorist threats, life expectancy, and job loss numbers.

Olympia, Washington topped the list, followed by Sioux Falls.  Fargo-Moorhead ranked 5th, Rochester was 6th, and Duluth-Superior 7th.
