ST. JOSEPH -- The College of St. Benedict was recognized as one of the top volunteer-producing small colleges in the country.

St. Ben's is ranked number 21 in the Peace Corps Top 25 colleges of 2014. The list looks at colleges with less than 5,000 undergraduate students.

Last year the they were ranked number 44. St. Ben's has 11 alumnae who are current Peace Corps volunteers overseas.

Since the Peace Corps was established in 1961 there have been 143 St. Ben's graduates who have served as volunteers.

The college is hosting a Peace Corps information session on Thursday, March 13th for students interested in becoming a volunteer.
