ST. CLOUD - Gun shots were fired during an armed robbery early this (Saturday) morning in St. Cloud.

Police say the incident happened at about 2:10 a.m. in the 600 block of 7th Avenue South.

Police say three men in their early 20's were walking to a home in an alley when they were confronted by two men.  One of them pulled out a handgun and demanded money.  During the confrontation the gun was fired, but no one was hurt.  After the shot, one of the victims was pushed to the ground and beat up.

The suspects are believed to have left the scene in a vehicle.

Police believe it was a random act of violence.

Sergeant Jason Burke says no other information is being released at this time, because it's an ongoing investigation.
