The St. Cloud State University football team snapped a four-game losing streak with a win over Minot State University on Saturday.

The Beavers pushed out to an early lead, but the Huskies caught up to tie the game 7-7 and the end of the first quarter. In the second, Minot struck first again, scoring a field goal and stretching their lead to 10-7. SCSU scored a touchdown and a field goal to enter the half up 17-10.

Minot State scored the only points of the third quarter, a field goal in the final 35 seconds, to cut back St. Cloud State's lead to 17-13. The Huskies outscored the Beavers 14-6 in the final quarter to win it 31-19.

Dwayne Lawhorn completed 13 of 29 for 262 yards and two touchdowns. Darian Washington had three catches for 116 yards and two touchdowns. Joe Blando had 12 carries for 41 yards and one touchdown.

Adam Stage completed four of four extra-point attempts and one of two field-goal attempts. The Huskies defense finished with three interceptions and seven sacks.

The Huskies improve to 4-6 and will close out their regular season on Saturday against Minnesota State University-Moorhead. Pre-game starts at 12:30 p.m. on AM 1240 and 95.3 FM WJON.
