Richard “Dick” Peterson, 83, Princeton

April 23, 1932 - April 26, 2015

Richard “Dick” Peterson, age 83, of Princeton, passed away on Sunday, April 26, 2015 at the St. Cloud Hospital. He was born on April 23, 1932 in Ladysmith, WI, the son of Henry and Edith (Mayou) Peterson.

After graduating from High School Dick entered into the United States Army and served until his honorable discharge in 1962. He was united in marriage to Erma Dibble on October 12, 1957 in Barron, WI. The couple moved to Princeton in the 60’s. Dick worked as a self-employed carpenter for many years and also ran the Legion Ball Field in Princeton for over 30 years. Following his retirement he helped as a volunteer assisting with building the Hockey Arena. Dick loved hunting, fishing, sports and watching his sons play hockey.

Dick is survived by his wife Erma; children, Brian (Amy), Brad (Shawntel) and Bridget; grandchildren Logan and Lauren; and brother John; along with many nieces, nephews and other relatives.

He was preceded in death by his parents and 4 siblings.

A Memorial Celebration will be held at 11:30AM on Thursday, April 30, 2015 at Williams Dingmann Family Funeral Home in Princeton with visitation being held one hour prior to the service.
